As if just building cool software solutions and taking your data knowledge to the next level wasn’t enough incentive for you, here’s a reminder of the prize potential for eligible participants:

There are $20,000 in prizes up for grabs 

$10,000 USD to the Grand Prize Winning Team along with a project highlight at Data + AI Summit

$5,000 USD to the 2nd Place Winning Team along with a project highlight at Data + AI Summit

$2,500 USD to the 3rd Place Winning Team along with a project highlight at Data + AI Summit

$500 USD for 5 Honorable Mentions

As a reminder, here is the main requirement for the challenge:

What to Build
Create a new application that uses an open-source large language model (LLM) like Dolly or by creating a new application using Spark Connect.

What to Submit:

  • Demo video showing off your application that includes an explanation of the model or/and data you used
  • URL to your application’s open-source source code. NOTE: Your GitHub repository should not have any contributions before May 18th and include an open-source license
